In progress: The Crime of the Century

It is not often we ordinary folks get to watch the commission of a crime-in-progress, much less, for good or evil, get to play a role in it by knowingly or unwittingly casting an illegal ballot, by trusting the casting of one’s ballot to a vote harvester, by failing to safeguard one’s ballot from theft, or my simply not caring enough about the world’s greatest experiment in representative democracy to cast a legal vote for one political party or the other.

Gentle readers, we are watching the Crime of the Century unfold with the precision of a P.D. James crime novel with an opening scene in Benghazi when Vladimir Putin, tired of President Obama and Secretary Clinton’s meddling in the Syrian Civil War, paid a band of thugs to attack the U.S Mission in Benghazi. An act of war President Obama chose to ignore.

We amateur sleuths can trace the crime and its ensuing parts from the Benghazi cover-up to Secretary Clinton’s illegal computer server and to hundreds of classified, but unprotected, e-mails which, even under federal subpoena, she destroyed. When a non-politician named Donald J. Trump wandered on to the political scene, Candidate Trump provided the perfect diversion from the crimes of omission and commission by Secretary Clinton and President Obama.

The diversion, however, required the subordination of key members of the Obama Department of Justice, the FBI, and the Intelligence Community to the task of protecting former Secretary Clinton and President Obama.

The diversion included an over two-year, $32-million-dollar special counsel investigation based on a phony dossier paid for by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

When that failed, the next diversion was the impeachment of President Trump during which the FBI sat on Hunter Biden’s laptop the contents of which proved that President Trump had an absolute duty to inquire into how former Vice President Joe Biden managed the firing of the Ukrainian prosecutor who was including Hunter Biden in his list of corruption suspects.

Unfortunately, the impeachment occupied the nation’s attention when we should have been focused on the arrival of the Chinese Wuhan Virus (AKA Covid-19) on American shores.

But with President Trump’s resurging economy and his solid record of keeping campaign promises, the coup-plotters realized the danger of President Trump’s reelection. All hands, to include academe, the MSM, social media, certain search engines, Democrat governors and mayors, violence-prone organizations such as Black Lives Matter (posing as a civil-rights group), and Antifa seized on instances of police misconduct to foment and sustain violent riots in the Democrat controlled inner cities in the months leading to Election Day.

Now, we are watching as the coup-plotters in the Democrat-controlled jurisdictions ignore Election Day results and keep counting votes, illegal and legal, until they can manufacture enough Harris-Biden votes to win.

Eventually, the verdict on the Crime of the Century will be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. Presumably, the Court will look at the 14th Amendment to see if President Trump’s re-election campaign has been afforded "due process" and the "equal protections of the laws." See: Gore v. Bush, 531 U.S. 98 (2000).
